Gastonia – Inez Lovingood Morgan, 89 passed away on January 19th and is now in the arms of her loving Savior Jesus Christ.
Inez was born in Cherokee County on February 6, 1931 to the late Jacob and Gillie Lovingood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, John David Morgan and son David Alexander Morgan.
Inez retired from Burlington Industries after 22 years of dedicated service. After, retirement she worked in the nursery at Parkwood Baptist Church where she earned the name "Nana" she was loved by everyone; especially the children! Inez was an avid gardener; she loved working outside and could make anything grow. She was a faithful member of South Marietta Street Baptist Church for many years. She loved her Sunday School Class "The Searchers" and all her beloved friends.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Anne McAllister (Russ); her grandchildren; Lisa Payne, Billy Payne, Jeremy McAllister; her great-grands, Blake Payne and Matt Payne; her great-great grands, Luke, Ella Grace, Millie Kate and Jackson. We will miss you Nana but we will see you again in Heaven ~ love, your family!
A Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 22nd at Gaston Memorial Park with Reverend Tommy Self officiating and releasing of the doves.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, masks are required. If you feel the need to stay home, a card or phone call to the family will be appreciated.
