Lincolnton – James Windell Doyle, 77, passed away on May 21, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Conway, South Carolina on January 2, 1944 to the late Archie and Margaret Doyle. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a grandson Baby Paul Culton.
Windell retired from the U.S. Navy serving over 20 years. He later retired from Ithaca with over 20 years of dedicated services. He also had worked at Carolina Cotton Works for years.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Windell enjoyed working in the yard. He enjoyed doing things for his family
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 56 years, Lilly Spearman Doyle; his children, Kathy Doyle, Derrick Doyle, Steve Doyle and wife Tiffanie, Brandon Aiken and wife Jenney; grandchildren, DJ Doyle, Brittany Doyle, Camron Doyle, Alex Doyle, Corbin Doyle, Simeon Culton, and Michaela Leonard; special great grandbaby Naomi and 4 other wonderful great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 26th at Spirit Life Church of God, 1424 Wilma Sigmon Road, Lincolnton with Reverend Daniel Perry and Reverend Brandon Aiken officiating; with full military honors by the U.S. Navy and Gaston County Honor Guard
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m., 1 hr prior to the service
Inurnment will be at Salisbury National Cemetery.
