Dallas – James William Goudelock, 39, passed away July 23, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born in Gaston County, NC, on November 6, 1982. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Alan Brown. And his grandparents.
James was a very hard working and dedicated man. He loved his family, and was a devoted husband, father, son and friend to many. He enjoyed serving as Captain at Dallas Fire Department and working behind the wheel of a wrecker for his family business. He also enjoyed camping with his family. James was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Left to cherish James’s memory is his devoted wife and best friend for over 21 years, (married 14 of those years) Wendy Brown Goudelock; his loving children, Lexi and Kaden Goudelock; his loving parents, Steve and Rebecca Anne Hamrick Goudelock; mother and father-in-law, Tori and Joe Griffin; and a dear friend closer than a brother, Roy Setzer.
A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 531 Hardin Road, Dallas with Reverend Dr. John H Spencer, Jr officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church cemetery.
