James Lee Jenkins, Jr.

James Lee Jenkins, Jr., 86, of Gastonia, passed away peacefully at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Gaston County on March 10, 1937 to the late James Lee Jenkins, Sr. and Virginia Rhyne Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Jenkins and his sister, Phyllis Jenkins Adams.

James graduated from Dallas High School and spent his career as a truck driver.

James is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce Davis Jenkins; nephews, Lane Adams and Franklin Adams; and his beloved dog, Lexi.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 in the Garden of Peace at Antioch Lutheran Church, 330 Old NC 277 Loop Road, Dallas, NC 28034.
