James Morris O'Leary

Belmont – James Morris O’Leary, 67, passed away on April 9, 2023 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.   

He was born in Flint, Michigan, on October 7, 1955 to the late Donald Dennis O’Leary and Velnora Bauser O’Leary. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery O’Leary and his sister, Marcia O’Leary.  

James was known for his love of music, especially 70’s rock. He played the guitar and could pick up any instrument and be able to play it. James wrote and taught music and owned a couple music stores. In his spare time, he played golf and watched football. He was a kind, loving, compassionate, and simple man who loved his wife and children. James leaves many happy and loving memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Karen Lynch O’Leary; son, Ian James O’Leary; daughter, Leah Marie O’Leary (Shen Chen); brother, Brian O’Leary; and his granddaughter, Mina Chen.

Funeral Services will be private and at a later date.
