DALLAS - Jane Guy Haney, 85, of 124 Puett Drive, died May 31, 2009, at her residence.
She was a native of Haywood County, born Aug. 29, 1923, to the late Richard and Artie Guy.
She was a retired seamstress with Danoca.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years, Lawson Van Haney; two sons, David and Richard Haney; brothers, Ruben, Rabb and Jackie Guy.
Survivors include her children, Robert and Brenda Haney of Dallas, Mary and Jack Bowen of Dallas, L.J. and Rita Haney of Lincolnton, Martha and Jerry Stamey of Lowell; two sisters, Carrie Gibson of Dallas and Ruth Cochran of Waynesville; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Gilreath officiating.
Interment will be at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
