Janice Burchfield Haas

Janice Ann Burchfield Haas, 65, a beloved wife, mother, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023, at Robin Johnson House, Dallas.

Janice was born on February 28, 1958 in Cherokee County, NC  to Evelyn Lucille Brackett Cook and the late Doc Winfield Burchfield. She is preceded in death by her father and a grandson, Shannon Parker.

Through the years, Janice's family grew to include nine cherished grandchildren and two adored great-grandchildren. Their presence brought immeasurable joy to her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Janice is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, William Lee Haas; her daughters, Jennifer Whitlow, Michelle Harrill, Leann Lightsey and Angela Mathis; her brother, Pastor Donnie Burchfield and wife Wynette, Wendell Burchfield and wife Ann.

 Visitation services in memory of Janice will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 5,2023 at First Free Will Baptist Church, 841 Knowles Drive, Mt. Holly, NC. Friends and loved ones are invited to join together in commemoration of Janice’s life.  A Celebration of Life service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday with Reverend Randy Arrowood and Pastor Donnie Burchfield officiating.
