Jeffery Scott Watson

Jeffery Scott Watson, 58, passed away peacefully at his residence on November 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Gaston County on July 28, 1965 to the late Joseph Daniel Watson, Sr. and Thelma Galloway Watson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Deeree Watson.

Jeff was a warm-hearted man who loved his family and friends. He had an endless source of facts about the family from his extensive genealogy research. In his spare time, he enjoyed diamond painting and completing his adult coloring books. 

He is survived by his brother Joe Watson and wife Linda; niece, Jennifer Wallace; great-nieces, Kaylor Huss, Michelle Duncan, and Sandra Craig; and great-great-niece, Ariyah Hope.  

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Restoration Church, 1905 E. Marion Street, Shelby, NC 28152. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the church with Pastor Mike Thompson and Pastor Mike Criswell officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Gaston County 306 S. Columbia Street, Gastonia, NC 28054.
