Jennalee Luzelle Moore-Baker

Jennalee Luzelle Moore-Baker, 27, passed away on April 25, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC, with her loving family by her side. She was born in North Bend Oregon on November 23rd, 1996 to Brad and Anna Moore the second of three children. She adored her older brother Joshua and doted on her younger brother Johnluc.

She lived in Coos Bay Oregon for the first seven years of her life and attended Kingsview Christian School. During grade school, Jenna found her way to Christ. She was baptized before her 13th birthday while attending Church at Sandhurst. She would go on to be an active member of her Youth Choir.

She and her family would soon move to Florence SC where she would go on to enroll in the International Baccalaureate program as her older brother had done before her. In the spring of 2015, Jenna would graduate from both Wilson High School with a high school diploma and the International Baccalaureate program with a focus on the arts.

Two of the great loves in Jenna’s life were the arts and animals. She sewed, knitted, drew, wrote, painted, and appreciated many more mediums of art as well as those of the natural world around us. Her love of animals is best shown in her two pets Sugar, a pomeranian golden retriever cross, and her cat Sir Arthur Pistachio Pendragon. Jenna was also an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hiking, backpacking, and camping. The mountains, the coast, lakes, or forest she was always eager to explore it all.

During the fall of 2015 and her freshman year at Winthrop University, Jenna met and befriended Glenn Baker. The two shared many interests and quickly grew closer ultimately deciding to begin dating near the end of January 2016. Jenna would graduate from Winthrop with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.

A few years later, Jenna and Glenn were married on April 18th, 2022, and would enjoy a pleasant honeymoon near Gettysburg PA. In the following years, the pair worked hard and dreamed big about their future together, the family they hoped to start, and all the adventures they wished to go on together.

Tragically, in the latter days of April 2024, Jenna fell gravely ill and ultimately succumbed to her illness on the morning of Thursday, April 25th.

Through thick and thin, pain and laughter, joy and tears, the two always enjoyed one another’s company and were always sad to be parted from one another. If anything can be learned from their love story it is that the best love is often not intentionally pursued, but found through pure circumstances often entirely accidental.

She is survived by her beloved husband Glenn Baker; parents, Brad and Anna Moore; brothers, Joshua Moore and Johnluc Moore; mother and father-in-law Nancy and Jim Baker; sister-in-law, Ashley Baker; grandmothers, Janet Moore and Carolina Medenilla; and her grandmother-in-law, Julia Caldwell. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Edward J. Moore and Albert R. Medenilla, and her grandfather-in-laws, Glenn Caldwell and Andrew Harold Baker, as well as her grandmother-in-law, Ruth Naomi Baker.

Family and friends will gather from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor David Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
