Joann Lyles Cantrell

JoAnn Lyles Cantrell, 81, of Dallas, NC entered her eternal home December 3^rd, 2022 to be with our Lord.

She was the daughter born in Chester, South Carolina to the late Leon and Mary Genevieve Blackwell Lyles.

She was preceded in death with the only love of her life, her loving husband of 47 years, John Cantrell, her sister, Shirley Lyles Christ.

She had a gentle soul, loved by many and was the greatest wife, mother, MawMaw and great MawMaw.  She was a faithful member of Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church, Dallas.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, John W. Cantrell, Jr. of Dallas; grandchildren, Sara Morris (Daniel) of Belmont and John W. “Trey” Cantrell III (Lacy) of Belmont; great grandmother to Addison Morris and Coraline Cantrell; two sisters, Sandra Tanner of Gastonia and Joyce Cannon of Bessemer City; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Richard Gaddis officiating. 

She loved her church and every member, so in lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church, P.O. Box 484, Dallas, NC 28034 in memory of JoAnn Cantrell.
