Kings Mountain – John "Tony" Anthony Bryant, 71, went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.
He was born on September 15, 1949 in Franklin, North Carolina to the late John and Emma Bryant. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Barbara Nations.
John was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. He was a kind and loving man that never met a stranger. John was a veteran of the US Army serving during Vietnam.
Left to cherish his memories is his son Mike Bryant (Melisa Meyer) of Rock Hill, SC; daughter, Julie Smith (Jason "Opie") of Gastonia, NC; sister, Greta Wright of Gastonia, NC; ex-wife, Brenda Tanner; grandchildren, Hanna Bryant, Cassie Bryant, Michael Smith, Tabitha Smith, Jennifer Grigg, Kiana Meyer; great-grandchildren, Jessica Hawkins, Issac Bryant, and four others.
Private services will be held at 5:00 pm on Monday January 11, 2021 at Harvest Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC with Reverend Gary Teague officiating. Live streaming will be available from the Harvest Baptist Church website.
