Dallas – John Mervin Davis, 63, passed away at Atrium Health-Lincoln on February 5, 2022. He was born in Gaston County on September 12, 1958, to the late Mervin Bo Davis and Margaret McAlister Davis.
John was a family man and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, and enjoyed NASCAR racing. He was employed by Bosch Tool Machine where he worked as a Machinist for over 30 years.
Left to cherish John's memories include his loving wife of 34 years, Susan Newman Davis; children, Mellanie Picklesimer (Chad); Benjamin Davis (Candice); grandchildren, Trent Picklesimer, Aaron (Sarah) Picklesimer; Isaiah Picklesimer; Cierra Picklesimer, Judah Picklesimer, Haven Davis, and soon-to-be Harrison Davis; sister, Renee Ellis (Randy).
The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 7:30 pm, Friday, February 11th at Restoring Hope Foursquare Church, 1026 Dallas Stanley Highway, Dallas, NC 28034. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 7:30 pm with Pastor Cameron Bryson officiating.
