John Henry Graeber

John Henry Graeber, 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Terrace Ridge Assisted Living, Gastonia with his loving family by his side. John was born in China Grove, North Carolina on July 10, 1927 and is the son of the late John Luther and Anna Rentner Graeber.
John was a graduate of Cannon High School, Kannapolis, where he was in the Marching Band. He is a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.
He is a 1949 graduate of Wake Forest College, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He was owner of Graeber Diabetic Supply Company, Gastonia and a member of the Eureka Masonic Lodge #283, China Grove, North Carolina. He is a former member of Cramer Mountain Country Club and was an avid golfer. He and his wife, Jimmie Blue were quite a golf team.
John is a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Gastonia.
John is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jimmie Blue Sowers Graeber; one loving daughter, Hanna Graeber; one loving son, John Ashley Graeber and wife Kelly; three grandchildren whom he adored, Samantha, Sydney and Cammie.
Services will be private and at a later date.
John was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Deidre "DeeDee" Graeber; two brothers, Clyde Graeber, Maurice Graeber.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054.
