John Robert Hance, Jr. passed away peacefully at Peak Resources on September 25, 2026. He was born on January 21, 1945, and will be remembered as a hardworking man whose life reflected dedication, service, and love for his family.
John spent most of his life working as a truck driver, a path that spoke to his steady nature and strong work ethic. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard, and his military service remained an important part of the life he lived. Whether in uniform or on the road, John carried himself with quiet purpose. He enjoyed traveling, and that interest fit naturally with a life shaped by movement, duty, and perseverance.
To those who knew him best, John was a good son and brother, someone whose character was defined by loyalty and hard work. He leaves behind the memory of a man who met life with determination and who valued the people closest to him.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Bill Whitlock, and their children, who carry forward his memory with love. In the closeness of family, John’s place will continue to be felt and cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert Hance and Musie Campo Hance.
