Gastonia - Judith "Judi" Brittain Craig-Smith, 81, passed away on August 30, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Newport News, Virginia on September 14, 1939, to the late Ralph Gerell Britain and Ruth Mae Phillips Britain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, the love of her life, Rankin "Willie" Craig, and Edward Smith; a son Rankin Lee Craig.
Judi was a founding member of Parkwood Baptist Church. She retired from banking with over 27 years of dedicated service and was a certified nursing assistant with Emerald Care Home Health. Judi was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to so many. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her beloved Chihuahua Missy.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Rhonda Craig-Loftin and husband Scot; her wonderful grandchildren, Taylor Craig Loftin, Hunter Craig Loftin, Lee Rankin Craig, Savannah Leigh Craig; great-grandchildren, Madison Rose Craig and Kinley Grace Craig; brother, Steve Brittain.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 3rd at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 3704, Memphis, TN 38101.
