Karen Shapiro Jenks

Cornelius – Karen Shapiro Jenks, 48, passed away on September 21, 2022 at Atrium Health-Main, Charlotte, North Carolina.

Karen was born in New York on June 11, 1974 to Harold and Betsy Ayala Shapiro. She was a proud graduate of Albany Law School and an Attorney at Law, serving Mecklenburg and surrounding counties.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Michael Jenks; her children, Matthew, Nick and Alex Piro; step-children, Karlyn and Braydon Jenks; brother, Walter Shapiro; sister, Darlene Hibbard and husband Jeffery; several nieces and nephews; and many wonderful dear friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be at a later date.
