Gastonia – Kathie Bell Marlowe, 70 passed away on December 8, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Gaston County on March 6, 1951, to the late Tom Glover and Sara Knight Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister Linda Hall.

Kathie worked for U.S.D.A. for over 25 years. She attended South Gastonia Church of God. She was a loving, kind, and beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 36 years, Alan Marlowe; her son, Chuck Bell; her stepchildren, Christopher (Kelly) Marlowe, Jennifer (Mike) White, Kimberly (Demetrius) Hamm; grandchildren, Christopher Bell, Brittany (Taylor) Bell, Brandon David, Nicholas (Emma) David, Kellie (Chance) Pepper, Trystan, and Wyatt Marlowe, Sydney, Skylar and Aaron Greene; great-grandchildren, Kessa, Cade, Bentlee, Iverleigh, and Chloe.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 12th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054.

A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 13th at South Gastonia Church of God, 310 Carolina Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28052 with Pastor Bobby Gilley officiating.

Entombment will follow at Westview Gardens.
