Kaye Gibbie Thomas

Gastonia – Elizabeth Kaye Gibbie Thomas, 78 , entered into heaven on October 5,  2022. She passed peacefully at Courtland Terrace with her family by her side.

Kaye was born January 15, 1944 to the late Jessie and Mary Adams Gibbie. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, W.C. Thomas who passed in 2013; three brothers, Howard, Ronnie and Danny Gibbie and three sisters, Sue Hardin, Revena Gibbie and Darlene Clark.

She was a  loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Independent Baptist Tabernacle Church for many wonderful years. God was her whole life, she enjoyed singing, playing the piano and guitar.

She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Loretta  Bailey (Ed), Kimberly Cline (Don); her grandchildren, Jessica Bailey, Trey Bailey (Alexis), Megan Robinson, and her great grandchildren Alyssa and Rylan Robinson, Ava Grace and Peyton Bailey, and Braylen Corry; half-sister, Brenda Wooddale; and  Dujuan Robinson; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home  from 2:00 to 3:00 pm., Saturday, October 8^th  with a  Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 pm in the Chapel following the visitation.

Interment will follow at Independent Baptist Tabernacle Church, 2128 Dallas Cherryville Hwy., Dallas, NC with the releasing of the doves
