Listen to Obituary

Keith Christopher Curry passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of laughter, unforgettable memories, and a long list of people who will never, ever forget him.

Keith was born in Edison, New Jersey, and raised in North Brunswick, New Jersey. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and for Keith, that village was Deerbrook. Although an only child, he soon acquired many “brothers from another mother”, who would remain in his life forever. Containing all of them definitely took teamwork and creativity.

He graduated from North Brunswick High School, where he wreaked havoc, tested boundaries, and quite possibly set a school record for Saturday detentions.

Eventually, Keith made his way south to Belmont, North Carolina where he worked at Bubba's 33, acquiring more friends along the way.

Life around Keith was never boring. He was a practical joker from the very beginning, and his mother was often the unwilling target of his fun. A suspicious-looking fake spider, a rubber band around the kitchen sink sprayer, and his favorite, a mysterious figure silently staring through the window just to see your reaction. He believed laughter was one of life's greatest gifts, even if you weren't laughing until several minutes after the prank was over.

Keith was sunshine in a sarcastic, hilarious shell. He had the best hugs, the most contagious laugh, and a way of making the most ordinary moments unforgettable. He was one of those rare people whose hugs made the whole world go quiet for a minute. Hugging him felt like home.

But underneath all the jokes was a man with the biggest heart. Keith was the ultimate people pleaser. He loved hard and let you know it. If he could make someone smile, laugh, or feel loved, then his day was complete.

Keith was passionate about animals, theater, movies, and music. He loved thunderstorms, days at the beach, sporadic adventures, camping trips, and, most of all, spending time with the people he loved. Keith never believed in casual friendships. If you were his friend, you quickly became family.

On September 16, 2023, Keith married Chad Linton. Together with their daughter, Caydence, they built a home filled with random dance parties, laughter, and love. Keith delighted in showing Caydence the joy of laughter, to never take life too seriously, and how to play soccer.

Keith was preceded in death by his father, Michael Curry; his stepfather, Rudy Chibbaro; his grandparents, Shamus and Doris Curry; Brad and Barbara Gray; Uncles Jimmy Curry and Robert Jackson; and his aunts, Patricia Campbell and Kathleen Telepun

He is survived by his loving husband, Chad Linton; his cherished daughter, Caydence Linton; his loving mother, Linda Curry; his in-laws, Barbara and Ed Young, Michael Williams, Toni and Curtis Gibson, Alisha, Britney, and David Young; his aunts and uncles, Susan Jackson, Susan Zimmerman, Walter Campbell, Donna and Len Simicich, Kathy and Tom Gray, Amy and Brian Gray, and Debbie and Jim Knox; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and innumerable friends who were family.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Atrium Health, Cabarrus for their amazing care, compassion and support during his illness.
