Kenneth Wade Denton

Kenneth Wade Denton, 78, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side.  Kenneth was born in Durham, North Carolina on August 26, 1943 and is the son of the late Allen Wade and Virginia Beaty Denton. 

 

Kenneth retired from Norcap Limited, Gastonia as a Mechanical Engineer.  He is a faithful member of First Assembly of God, where he enjoyed fishing with the members and playing softball with the Church Softball programs.

 

Kenneth was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and loved his family and he will truly be missed by so many.

 

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jeannie Carole Edwards Denton; one loving daughter, Hope Stiles and husband Kevin; one loving son, Todd Denton; 4 grandchildren whom he adored, Cameron Stiles, Jordan Stiles, Joshua Denton, Jack Denton; two brothers and their wives, Barry Denton and wife Gayle, Dennis Denton and wife Linda.

 

The family will receive family and friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Road with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend David Scruggs and Reverend Scott Lingerfelt officiating.

 

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City with the Releasing of the Doves.

 

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Denton.
