Kim Jenkins Milwood

Kim Jenkins Milwood, 61, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Gaston County, on September 25, 1964 to the late Roy and Betty Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 29 years, Wayne Milwood; and her precious pets, Macie and Dallas.

Kim was always the life of the party and center of attention of any function she attended. She always brought some fun and laughter to the group. Kim enjoyed trips to the beach and the mountains and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. Most of all she loved her grandchildren more than anything else. The memories she leaves will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Milwood Tyler (Justin): sisters, Cathy McGinnis (Todd) and Donna Carver (Alan); grandchildren, Alexa Milwood, Madeline Milwood, Kayne Tyler, Milley Tyler; her best friend, Linda Phillips; and her beloved dog, Sheba.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Monday June 29th, 2026, at City Church, 3100 City Church Street, Gastonia, NC 28056. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm in the church with Pastor Dickie Spargo officiating.
