Larenda Faith Carr

Larenda Faith Carr, 56, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, with her loving family by her side.

She was born on January 6, 1970 to Billy and Brenda Carr. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Woodrow and Pearl Huffstetler, George and Thelma Carr; uncles, Herman Carr, Wayne Carr, Doug Carr, and Woodrow Huffstetler, Jr.; aunts, Dot Hamrick, Frankie Hall, Louise Tallent, and Aileen Carr.

Larenda will always be remembered for being such a sweet girl who was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church. She loved working with all children and felt they always needed special attention, especially those with autism. Her dedication to helping others extended to making hundreds of shoe boxes for Samaritans Purse so that those who were most in need received a little Christmas present. Larenda often made over 100 shoe boxes at Christmas for Samaritan’s Purse. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, solving puzzles, reading the newspaper, and watching TV with her daddy. She loved her parents most of all, and everyone who knew and loved her will keep her memory forever.

She is survived by her devoted parents, Billy and Brenda Carr; many cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Grace Baptist Church 2200 Auten Road, Gastonia, NC 28054, on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the church with Pastor David MacEachern officiating. Burial will take place after the service at Gaston Memorial Park in the War Memorial Section.

Memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse in honor of Larenda.
