Lee Wade Lineberry

Lee Wade Lineberry, age 60, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 21, 2026.  He passed at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia surrounded by family. He was born on December 30th, 1965 in Gastonia, NC to Charles Henry Lineberry and Amanda Joyce Garren Lineberry.  

He was a 1984 graduate of Hunter Huss High School, where he excelled at football and was a talented athlete, dedicated teammate, and mentor. After high school, he served his country in the US Navy Reserves. Up until his passing, Lee was an employee of Freightliner and held several different positions over his nearly 40-year career there.

Lee was a sports enthusiast and was a proud, lifelong fan of the North Carolina Tar Heels. He loved attending live sporting events, especially local High School football games with friends and former alumni. He was also a gifted and passionate artist who continually explored different creative outlets. He had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing all that life had to offer. Lee was a loving and devoted husband and father, and a loyal friend. He cherished spending quality time with his loved ones. He was a kind and generous soul and always looked to help those in need. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sister, Susan Terina Davenport of Gastonia. He is survived by his wife, Donna Martin Lineberry; daughter, Emilee Lineberry; stepchildren, Kaylin and Tommy Walkowiak, along with several nieces and nephews.
