Belmont – Lillian Loretta Roberts, 91, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2022 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Washington D.C. on July 4, 1930 to the late William F. and Susie Speiden Zimmerman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 5 siblings, Francis Zimmerman, Helen Gussin, Mary Hoover, Joseph Zimmerman and William Zimmerman.
Lillian was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Maryland. She worked at Montgomery Ward and the Coca Cola Bottling Plant in Maryland where she gave many years of dedicated service. Lillian was the most loving and caring soul. She loved making lap robes for wounded veterans and friends. She was a member of the Lap Robe Ladies from 2008 – 2022.
Left to cherish her memories include her loving children, James Roberts (Arthur) of Belmont; Laura Hawkins (Jeffrey) of Gastonia; grandchildren, Tyler James, Brandon Alexander and Justin William; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Resthaven Funeral Home and Community Center, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy 15N, Frederick, Md. 21701. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon prior to her service. Interment will follow the service in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
