Linda Sue Jones Boyd

Linda Sue Jones Boyd, 84, of Dallas, NC, passed away on June 25, 2024 at her residence. 

She was born in Gastonia, North Carolina, on November 23, 1939, to the late Frank and Katherine Penley Jones. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Cathy Huffstetler.

Linda was a member of Saint Andrews Episcopal Church in Bessemer City. She retired as an Administrative Assistant at GeoScience Group, Engineering Consultant, Charlotte, North Carolina. After retiring from GeoScience, she worked as a church/office secretary for Ranlo Baptist Church. She loved to cook, decorate and bird watch. 

She is survived by her son, Calvin W. Boyd III from Charlotte, and her brother Charles F. Jones (Lana) of Dallas.

Family and friends will gather from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel with The Reverend Nick McDonald officiating.
