Linda Marie Hoffman

Dallas – Linda Marie Parker Hoffman, 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday December 13, 2022.

Linda was born in Gaston County on August 8, 1940 to the late Pate and Ethel Parker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Gerald Hoffman; brother, Tony Parker; and her grandson, Daniel Hall.

Linda was a dedicated member of Grace Baptist Church and served on multiple committees at the church for many years. She was also a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts. For most of her career she worked as a florist in Gaston County. Linda leaves behind many happy memories that will be cherished by her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Hoffman; brother, Gary Parker (Julie); and her sister, Janice Robbins (Carl); and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home Saturday December 17, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday December 18, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church 2200 Auten Road Gastonia NC 28054 with Pastor David MacEachern and her nephew, Pastor Chad Parker officiating. Entombment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Mausoleum of Prayer.

Her pallbearers will be Frank Bryne, Chuck Womack, Donnie Roberts, Kurt Bradley, David White, and Arnold Propst.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project.
