Linda Faye Bumgarner Polk

Linda Faye Bumgarner Polk, 74, passed away at her home on July 30, 2022.  Linda was born September 6, 1947 in Toluca, North Carolina and is the daughter of the late William Henry and Margaret Reep Bumgarner. 

Linda attended Good News Tabernacle, Bessemer City and she loved her family, especially her great grandchildren. 

Linda is survived by her son, Kevin Polk and wife Sabrina; step-children Steve Lovell and Donna Boles; 4 grandchildren, Ashley Polk and fiancé Troy Cole, Tyler Polk, Emilee Polk, Cameron Seagraves and fiancé Natrice; 4 great grandchildren, Mason Potts, Aubrey Hendricks, Ellie (who is on the way), Amira Seagraves; and niece, Brandi Goodson and her children, Logan and Dylan Goodson.

The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 p.m to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with A Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Goodson officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery with the Releasing of the Doves.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 28 years, Don Polk; brother, Dana Mitchell Bumgarner.
