Margaret Helen Robinson McCullough, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 4, 1929, Margaret’s life was a testament to kindness, devotion, and a steadfast love for both her family and friends.
For over two decades, Margaret dedicated herself as a medical transcriber at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, faithfully contributing her skills and compassion to the care of others. Her career was marked not only by her professionalism but by the quiet warmth she brought to those around her.
As a member of McAdenville Baptist Church, she found joy in worship and fellowship with her church family. Her presence was a source of comfort and encouragement, and her commitment to her church was an integral part of her life.
Her affection extended beyond human relationships. Margaret adored her great-nephew, Eric and shared a special bond with Winston, the dog she cherished while living with her beloved niece and nephew, Nan and Walt Griggs. For more than twenty-five years, Nan and Walt provided a home filled with love and companionship, a place where Margaret’s spirit could flourish. She also treasured time spent on trips to the beach, moments that filled her with peace and contentment.
Margaret’s generosity touched many, notably through her respect and love for the Jewish community. She was known for her thoughtful contributions to the Mino Kalisher, reflecting a heart open to embracing and supporting those around her.
Though her parents, Lennox Reid Robinson and Helen Kale Robinson, preceded her in death, along with her husband James McCullough, nephew Eric Griggs, and siblings Frances Adams and Charles Robinson, Margaret's legacy lives strongly in the hearts of her surviving family members. She is survived and deeply mourned by her niece and nephew, Nan and Walt Griggs, and their beloved dog Winston; her nieces and nephews, Myra and Scott Rehrig, Fred and Reba Adams, and Andy Robinson; caregiver and special niece, Ashley Griggs Hester,as well as numerous great nieces and nephews who carry forward her spirit.
Margaret was a caring person who found great joy in her family and the simple acts of kindness that made her presence so beloved. Her laughter, warmth, and unwavering dedication to those she loved leave a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As we remember Margaret, we celebrate a life rich in love, faith, and generosity—a life that touched hearts and inspired all who crossed her path. Her memory will forever remain a blessing to her family, her church, and her community.
