Marshall Neal Ramsey, Jr, a devoted family man and skilled computer I. T. professional who dedicated much of his life to serving in U.S. Air, has peacefully passed away. Born on November 17, 1942, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Marshall leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
 
 Marshall's career path led him to work tirelessly the field of computer technology after his honorable service in the U.S. Air Force. He was not only known for his expertise but also for his kind caring personality that brightened the lives of those around him. Colleagues remember him as a dedicated and hardworking individual who always brought a sense of joy to the workplace.
 
 In his leisure time, Marshall found true happiness in simple pleasures like spending quality moments with his beloved wife Alphie, who was his partner in all aspects of life until her passing on June 22, 2023. Together, they created a lifetime of beautiful memories filled with love and companionship that will never be forgotten.
 
 Outside of work, Marshall enjoyed various hobbies such as fishing trips and competitive rounds of bowling. His passion for these activities was evident to all who knew him well. Additionally, he found solace in camping by the beach and cheering for his favorite baseball team. Marshall's fun-loving nature and zest for life were truly infectious. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandsons, Steven and Jordan
 
 Marshall proudly served as a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a distinguished member of the Gaston County Honor Guard. His dedication to serving his country and community was unwavering throughout his life, earning him respect and admiration from all who had the honor of knowing him.
 
 One of Marshall's proudest accomplishments was his commitment to spending quality time with his family. He cherished every moment shared with his loved ones and always placed their happiness above all else. His positive influence will continue to resonate within the hearts of those he held dear.
 
 On June 11, 2024, Marshall Neal Ramsey, Jr peacefully departed this world surrounded by his loving family members. He is survived by his son Andy Owens; daughter-in-law Samanatha Owens; grandsons Jordan Owens and Steven McQueen; seven great-grandchildren; brothers Clifford Ramsey and Raymond Ramsey (Carol); several nieces and nephews.
 
 He is now reunited in peace with his parents, Marshall Neal Ramsey, Sr., and Virginia Plyler Ramsey; his dear wife Alphie Sutton Ramsey; as well as their son Tony Owens, who preceded him in death.
 
 A visitation service will be held at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation in Gastonia on June 15th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service at the same location will follow at 2:00 PM. The interment will take place at Hollywood Cemetery with Military Honors by the Gaston  County Honor Guard.
 
 Marshall Neal Ramsey, Jr will forever be remembered for his kindness, humor, dedication to family, and unwavering love for those around him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
