Gastonia – Mary Lee Pearson Miles, 86, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2021. She was born in Lincoln County, NC to the late Pinkie Lee McClain Erby and William Pearson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Miles, sister, June Pearson, and brothers, Lawrence and Lewis Pearson.
Mary was a loving, kind, and caring woman who loved her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grands.
Survivors include her children, Alvin Sherwood Miles of Greensboro; Casey Oates of Charlotte; Crystal Miles of Hickory; Danyell Miles of Gastonia; Godchildren, Narissa, and Toland Huff; her siblings, Willie James Erby, Barbara Ann Whitaker, Larry Erby, Priscilla Hoyle and Cynthia Diane Abernathy; 17 grandchildren and blessed with 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Cornerstone Church, 409 East Main Street, Maiden, NC 28650 with Bishop Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon prior to the service.
Burial will follow the service at Maiden Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
