DALLAS –Maxine Friday Steelman, 95, passed away on December 8, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Gaston County on November 4, 1926, to the late Justice and Lula Friday. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Charles "Frank" Steelman who passed on January 3, 2015, and also two brothers, Jim Friday and Roy Friday.

Maxine was a lifelong member of Hardin Community Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for 52 years and played the piano. She was very active in many areas of the church during her lifetime. Maxine worked at Summey Building Supply and Creamline Dairy for many years before retiring. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be missed by all her family.

Survivors include her loving family, son, Ronnie Steelman, and wife Tonya; granddaughters, April and Ashlyn Steelman and great-grandchild, Ezra Davis; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, December 10th at Hardin Community Baptist Church, 548 Hardin Road, Dallas, NC with Reverend Justin Driver and Reverend Fain Farmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 11-12 Noon prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Hardin Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
