Miranda Friday Meeks

Miranda Friday Meeks, is a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. Miranda's life was filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories that will be forever treasured by those who knew her Miranda was born on September 23, 1959, in Gaston County, North Carolina. From an early age, she exhibited a warm and caring nature that endeared her to everyone she met. A true family woman, Miranda dedicated her life to creating a loving environment for her loved ones. Throughout her life, Miranda found joy in simple pleasures. She enjoyed her fur babies, Cooper and Gunner. They brought great happiness to her and James.

On January 22, 2024, surrounded by her family, Miranda peacefully passed away at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. While her departure has Miranda's proudest accomplishments were not found in material possessions or accolades but in the love and care, she bestowed upon her family. She leaves behind a legacy of unwavering devotion and support that will forever guide those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James Meeks; their daughter Nicole Meeks; daughter-in-law Gina Meeks; beautiful grandchildren Dallas, Diego, Elijah, and Makayla; and great-grandchildren Ayla and Kashton. Her memory will also be cherished by her mother Patricia Jackson and step-father Larry Jackson.

Miranda's impact extended beyond immediate family members. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Josh Meeks, including her beloved sisters, Leslie Jackson and Sissy Penley.

To honor Miranda's life, a series of events have been planned. The visitation will take place on January 26, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Iron Station located at 2583 Will Schronce Road, Iron Station, NC, 28080. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will be held at Iron Station Missionary Church from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Interment at Hardin Community Cemetery in Dallas, NC at 2:00 PM. Miranda Friday Meeks' vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She brought love and light into the world, and her memory will forever inspire those who carry it within them. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the everlasting impact she has made in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.
