Gastonia- Myron William Gallogly, 80, passed away on April 6, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He was born in Grove City, Pennsylvania on April 25, 1940, to the late Dennis Leroy and Eva Forsythe Gallogly. Mr. Gallogly was also preceded in death by a stepson, Kevin Bruce.
Myron was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gastonia. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University and an avid fan and supporter of the football team. Myron was a member of The Ohio State University Men's Glee Club and loved being a part of the choral groups during his lifetime. He was an engineer and the owner & operator of Automotive Testing Laboratories. Myron was the founding and active member of The Union County Foundation. He was very committed to the mission of the YMCA and supported the YMCA in many facets; he invested in its growth and success in Union County throughout his life. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf anytime he had an opportunity. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memories includes his loving wife of 35 years, Priscilla Smith Gallogly; his children, Kelly (Rowdy) Joseph, Tally (Kathy) Gallogly, Dennis (Susan) Gallogly, stepchildren, Brian Bruce, Marty (Anne) Bruce, Andrea (Kirt) Campbell, Heather (Stephen) Ryan; twenty grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; his brother, Don Gallogly; sisters Vivian Frace and Joyce Etling.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Avery White officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
