Gastonia – Patricia Ann Burger "Pat" Lunsford, 74, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2022, at the Robin Johnson House surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Gaston County on December 8, 1947, to the late Marshall and Rosalie Barfield Burger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Lunsford; siblings, John Wiggins, Charles Wiggins, Billy Joe Wiggins, and Marsha Wright.
Pat was the kindest and most welcoming soul that always made you feel loved unconditionally. She was a loving, compassionate and beautiful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
Survivors include her family, her sons, Charles Christopher (Darla Deal) Lunsford, and Loyd (Sarah Wolfe) Lunsford; grandchildren, Casey, Krista, Greg, Jessica, Nicole and Taylor, grandchild by heart, Jamie Freeman; and she was blessed with great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Gaston Memorial Park, Dogwood section.
Pallbearers will be Loyd Lunsford, Charles Lunsford, Casey Lunsford, Jimmy Lunsford, Jamie Freeman, and Chris Clark. Honorary Pallbearer will be Daniel Wishman.
Due to the Covid outbreak, if you feel the need to stay home, a card or phone call to the family will be appreciated.
