Fort Mill, SC – Paul Edward Cook Sr., 83 passed away on January 13, 2020 at the Pavillion of Brightmore - Charlotte.
He was born in Gaston County on May 2, 1936 to the late Joe A. and Dessie Lee Ramsey Cook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe L. Cook and granddaughter, Brittany Cook.
Paul was a veteran of the Korean Conflict US Army. He was a member of St. Andrews Masonic Lodge #702. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memories includes his daughter, Faith Nations and husband Chad; son, Paul E. Cook, Jr. and wife Patty; grandchildren, Michael Nations, Austin Nations, Hannah Grace Nations, Danielle Matthew Cook and Matthew Smith; 2 great grandchildren, M.J. and Jacob; sister, Lee George and husband Johnny.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm., Friday, January 17th prior to the 2:00 pm Celebration of Life Service at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Hoell officiating.
Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park at Hollis Lakes, 401 Hollis Lakes Road, Rock Hill, SC with Masonic Rites and Military Honors by York County Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to York County Honor Guard c/o Pete Strudivent, 2063 Kennedy Drive, Indian Land, SC 29707.
