Rodney Fore passed away on September 13, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 18, 1939.

Rodney was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother whose life was marked by faith, family, hard work, and the enjoyment of time spent with others. He was a member of City Church and found great happiness in the simple pleasures that shaped his days. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing, and in earlier years, he was active on a bowling team, played softball for Pharr Yarns, and loved all sports. He also treasured golf trips with his Freightliner friends and family, creating memories through companionship and shared experiences.

Rodney served in the Air National Guard for many years. He also gave more than 27 dedicated years to Freightliner in Mt. Holly, where he later retired. Among the blessings of his life, he was especially proud of his daughter and granddaughter, who brought him deep joy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Suzie Fore, his wife of 57 years. He also leaves behind his daughter, Kecia Orders; his son-in-law, Gage Orders; and his granddaughter, McKinley Orders, who were cherished parts of his life. Rodney is also survived by his sisters, Diane Putnam, Janie McCarter, Gail Brown, Judy Hoyle (Lonnie Hoyle), and Kathy Propst. He will be remembered with love by his family and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, James “Buck” Fore, and his mother, Margaret Morgan Fore. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne, Gib, Charlie, and Buster, and by his sisters, Mozelle Pittman and Nancy Strange.

The family extends heartfelt appreciation to his private caregivers, Angie, Lisa; both Michelle's, and the other caregivers from VIA Hospice, who offered such compassionate care and support.
