Pauline Watts

Gastonia – Pauline McDaniel Watts, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 4, 2023 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

Pauline was born in Gaston County on October 31, 1937 to the late William Pressley Snider and Alma Snider. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Bud McDaniel and Caroll Watts; her son, William Russell McDaniel; and her daughter, Phyllis McDaniel Smith and son-in-law, Marvin Lars Smith.  

She was a dedicated member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Lowell. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren. She leaves many happy memories to be cherished by her family.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Paula Smith Bradley (Brandon), William Pressley McDaniel, Matthew Travis Smith, great grandchildren, Danielle Elizabeth McTaggart, Jacob Brandon Rhyne, Andrew Vance Smith, and Great great Grandson, Charles Shawn McTaggart III; sister, Emmer Morgan.

The family will receive friends at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 1107 North Main St. Lowell NC on Saturday January 14, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the church with Pastor Mitch Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Woodlawn Baptist Church, 1107 North Main St. Lowell, NC.
