Penny Ann Mitchem

Penny Ann Mitchem, 59, passed away in Gastonia on October 20, 2025. She was born in Miami, Florida, on August 18, 1966 to the late James and Faye Mitchem.

Penny was a bubbly person with a sweet little voice everyone loved to hear. She was great with kids and was a great cleaner who would always be willing to help her family and friends. Penny was the kind of person who believed you should give everything you do 100% and she always did just that. The memories Penny leaves with those who knew and loved her will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her siblings, Mike Mitchem, Jeff Mitchem, Mark Mitchem, Denise Gallant (Scott), and Susie Mitchem; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for visitation from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Withers & Wisenant Funeral Home.
