Rachel Broome Duncan

Rachel Broome Duncan, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Acordius Health of Gastonia with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Charlotte on October 31, 1943, and is the daughter of the late George and Annis Carr Broome. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Semer Paul Duncan, and her son, Steven Paul Duncan.
Rachel was a graduate of Belmont High School Class of 1962. She was a licensed Realtor for 50 years and retired from Quality Homes. She also worked for Easco Hand Tool Company, Gastonia. She loved to travel especially to the beach. She enjoyed learning different things to keep her busy and enjoyed reading. She is a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church.
Rachel is survived by her loving daughter, Tina Brandon and husband Ray; her loving son, Christopher Duncan and Delacey Hoffman; 6 grandchildren she adored, Sydney Duncan, Corey Duncan, Kailey Duncan, Ben Brandon, Dorian Duncan, Daimen Duncan; 3 sisters-in-law, Jeanette Seagle, Pauline Ruff, Joanne Duncan; 1 brother-in-law, Odell Duncan.
The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Sandy Plains Baptist Church, 5323 Union Road, Gastonia with Rev. Richard Brown officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park in the Garden of Gethsemane Section.
