Gastonia - Rayford Shelton Taylor, 69, passed away on October 27, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Gaston County on October 5, 1952 to the late Earl B. Taylor and Dorothy Glasby Taylor.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Earl B. Taylor, Jr.
Rayford retired from Firestone Fibers and Textiles. He was a big Carolina Panthers fan and loved fast cars. Rayford was a loving son, brother and friend to many.
Rayford is survived by his sisters, Linda T. Ewing and husband Martin; Earlene T. Hatfield and husband Aubrey; and many wonderful friends.
