Reverend Eric T. Quinn, 64, a beloved member of community, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at his residence. Born on October 11, 1960 in Ogden, Utah to the late Grady Albert Quinn and Gladys Faye Lawless Quinn. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Quinn and a sister, Teresa Quinn.
Pastor Quinn dedicated 13 wonderful years of his life as Pastor of Soul’s Harbor Tabernacle of Dallas. He was a loving and devoted husband and close friend to his three step-children. He also worked at G & K Services in Charlotte, and Manager at Quick Way Cleaners. He loved the mountains, enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. He loved traveling on planes, trains, and boats. Eric’s last trip was to the Dallas Cowboys game. He also enjoyed traveling with his family to the mountains.
Pastor Eric is survived by his wife of 15 wonderful years, Arlene Dover Quinn, who stood by his side through everything. Their bond served as an inspiration to all who knew them, a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment. He also leaves behind his step-sons, William Nicholas “Nick” Dover and wife Elizabeth, Ronnie Leroy Dover and Bryon Scott Dover; grandchildren, Kayla, Aaliyah, Isaiah, Steven, Bryon and Joshua Dover; his sisters, Brenda Gonzales, Cindy Stockton and husband Gary, Pam Stockton and his Church family, who brought immense pride and joy to his life.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful Hospice Nurses that cared for Eric.
In memory of Reverend Quinn, A Celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 24, 2024 at South Gastonia Church of God with Pastor Bobby Gilley and Pastor James Chambers officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Memory Gardens Cemetery, York, South Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Soul’s Harbor Tabernacle, 603 South Loraine Street, Dallas, NC 28034
