Rickey Lee Hallman, born on September 3, 1960, in Gaston County, North Carolina, passed away suddenly on April 6, 2026, in Mt. Holly. A man of steadfast commitment and warmth, Rickey’s life was marked by his devotion to family, dedication to his career, and active participation in his community.
Rickey retired from UPS after many years of distinguished service, where he held the position of supervisor. Throughout his career, he exemplified professionalism and a strong work ethic, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.
His greatest joy was found in the company of his loved ones. Known affectionately as a dedicated Pops, Rickey cherished attending all of his grandchildren’s sports events, finding pride and happiness in their accomplishments. He also had a passion for cooking, often delighting those around him with meals prepared with care and love. He was a member of New Covenant Church in Mt. Holly.
Rickey’s proudest accomplishments centered on his daughter, Anna H Harris, and her children, Brooks Harris and Alli Harris. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he nurtured these relationships with unwavering devotion. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Anna, and her husband Daven, as well as his wonderful grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings, Terry Hallman (Terri), Rodney Howard (April), and Glenda Cook (Chuck). Additionally, Rickey was blessed to have the loving presence of his beloved mother-in-law, Mayoris Hart.
The family grieves the loss of Rickey’s beloved wife of 41 years, Anita Hart Hallman; his parents, Billy Joe Hallman and Mary Carpenter Hallman; his brother, Randy Hallman; and his father-in-law, Calvin Hart, who preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., followed by a memorial service from 3:00 p.m. at New Covenant Church Mount Holly, located at 14514 Lucia Riverbend Hwy, Mt. Holly, NC 28120 with Dr. Stuart Noell and Dr. Gary Royals officiating. These gatherings will offer family, friends, and community members an opportunity to honor and celebrate the life of a man who touched many hearts.
Rickey Lee Hallman’s legacy is one of steadfast love, dedication, and joyful involvement in the lives of his family and community. He will be remembered as a compassionate father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose spirit and kindness left an indelible mark on all fortunate to know him.
Pallbearers will be, Benjamin Hart. John Hart, Matt Lamm, Joshua Lamm, Robert Myers, Steve Michael, Bradley Hallman, Aaron Hallman, River Howard, Rusty Griggs.
