Gastonia – Ricky C. Edmonds, 63 passed away peacefully on March 23, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Grier, South Carolina to J.C. Edmonds and the late Molly Cagle Edmonds. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Rosalina Gordon Edmonds; son, Scotty Kyle Edmonds; sister, Sandra Edmonds.
Ricky enjoyed going to watch races at Carolina Speedway. He cherished the time he got to spend creating memories with his beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his father J.C. Edmonds, those left to cherish his memories includes his daughter, Sandra Rose McGee and husband Todd; son, James Hilton and girlfriend Taylor Walters; grandchildren, Rosalina Lynn, Austin Todd, James Eric, Ricky Kyle, Penny Jane, Richard Kyle and Anthony Scott; and his brother, Jay Edmonds.
The family will receive friends 1 hr prior to the service
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 27th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel
Interment will follow at Armstrong Cemetery
