Robert Eugene Hall, III

Robert Eugene Hall, III, 75, of Dallas, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2024 at Robin Johnson Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on October 8, 1948 to the late, Robert Eugene Hall, II and Ruth Moore Hall. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Faye Hall; sisters, Vanessa Collins, and Linda Summitt; and his brothers, Richard Raines and Patrick Hall. 

Robert served in the United States Army and was a proud family man. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and was very sociable. Robert would cut up and joke with everyone he met and knew. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and was a train enthusiast with a large collection of model trains. Robert will be missed and his memories cherished by all who knew and loved him

He is survived by his wife, Nalene “Nana” Galloway Hall; sons, Robert E. Hall, IV and Roger D. Hall; daughter, Shana C. Rucker; brothers, Kenneth Raines, Larry Hall, and Jack Hall; step-sons, Steven Queen (Chrissy), Lanny Queen (Pam), and Jamie Queen (Kim); grandchildren, Ashley M. Correll, Clinton D. Rucker, Jr., Roger D. Hall Jr., Carol A. Rucker, Cailin E. Rucker, Keely D. Patterson, Brittany Queen, Tyler Queen, Libby Queen, Scott Queen, and Jamie Lee Queen; and his great-grandchildren, Grayson, Juliana, Willow, Zoey-Rose, Zaid, Oliver, and River. 

Family and friends will gather from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A Memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Mike Criswell officiating.
