Ronnie will be remembered as a man who found joy in both work and the simple rhythms of everyday life.
Ronnie Steve Hooper, born October 4, 1953, passed away suddenly on November 5, 2026 at his residence.
Ronnie will be remembered as a man who found joy in both work and the simple rhythms of everyday life. He dedicated many years to Yellow Freight, and he especially enjoyed the years he spent there. Outside of work, Ronnie took pride in keeping his yard just so, happily cutting his grass twice a week, every week. He loved riding his Harley when he was able. shooting pool, and spending time messing with his guns. He especially enjoyed camping and deer hunting when he was able, and he carried many fond memories of time shared with his wife, Kim, before her passing.
Above all, Ronnie’s proudest accomplishment was his family. He is survived by his sons, Robert S. Hooper and his wife, Laney, and Isaiah Hooper and his wife, Audrey. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Brandon Casey Hooper, Sheila Nikole Hooper, and Kayleigh Marie Hooper, as well as his great-grandchildren, Kyllian, Korbin, Cynthia, and Aria. Ronnie is also survived by his brother, Gary Hooper and his wife, Darlene. The love he had for his sons and grandchildren was a defining part of his life, and that bond will remain a lasting part of his memory.

He took pride in keeping his yard just so, happily cutting his grass twice a week, every week.
