Rose Ann Hastings Brooks, born on January 1, 1942, peacefully passed away on June 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter. A cherished member of Union Presbyterian Church, (Union Community Church), where she served many committee's which included Deacon, Elder, Sunday School teacher Witness's Service Committee, hand bell and Choir; she was a dedicated professional who retired from Bell South after many years of service, Rose Ann leaves behind a legacy marked by devotion to family and faith.

Throughout her life, Rose Ann took immense pride in her children and grandchildren, treasures that brought her endless joy and fulfillment. She was known for her warmth and kindness, qualities that enriched the lives of those around her. Her favorite moments were spent immersed in the company of her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, creating memories filled with love and laughter. She enjoyed many trips to the beach with family and friends. She always looked forward to summers at Robinwood Lake, often loading up her kids and lots of other kids and many others for a fun day at the lake.

Rose Ann is survived by her children: Tamara Biddix (Jackie), Lori Huffstetler (Danny), Kirk Brooks (Audrey), Jessica Brooks, Alexis Brooks, Landon Brooks, and Noah Brooks; her wonderful grandchildren, Tera, Cathryn, Laura, Ethan, Tyler, Bobby, Jr., Stephen, Ivey; great grandchildren, Piper, Camden, Ryker, Atticus, Tatum, Reed, Jonah, Teagan, Atlas, Zane, Ziah, Zuri, Cruz, and Nash.. Rose Ann’s family circle further includes her brother Charles Hastings (Pam), many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Fred Lewis Brooks, and her parents, Arthur G. and Zelda Bell Hastings. and a daughter, Lucretia Hastings, and a brother, John Hastings.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM , both at the Union Presbyterian Church, located at 5615 Union Road, Gastonia, North Carolina, 28056, with Pastor James Holeman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. These services will honor Rose Ann’s remarkable life and the profound impact she had on her family and community.

Rose Ann Brooks’s enduring commitment to her loved ones and her faith will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will remain a guiding light, cherished forever by her family and friends.
