Annette Huffstetler Blake

 Annette Huffstetler Blake, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice House, Newton, NC with her loving family by her side. Sarah was born in Gaston County on March 9, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Linwood and Mary Green Huffstetler. 

Sarah worked for 20 years at Firestone Textiles, Gastonia.  She was a member of Soul’s Harbor Tabernacle, Dallas. She loved her church and her church family. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, riding around and crocheting. She enjoyed road trips to the mountains and the beach. She was a faithful friend and always a helping hand to many. She was an avid supporter of Sammy’s Restaurant, Dallas and DONALD TRUMP.

Annette is survived by her loving daughter, Leah Russell and husband Jay and her loving son, James “Jimmy” Greely; three sisters, Glenda Cox, Lynnelle Dobbins, Patricia Adams; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Nesbit (John), Jessy NG (Aaron), Michael Greely, Natalie Doster (Gage), Brittany McClure (Jeremy); 6 great grandchildren, Paul D Parks, Abby Parks, Holden NG, Harper NG, Ava McClure, Axl McClure; 1, great,great grandchild, Kayne Parks and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Restoring Hope Foursquare Church, 1026 Dallas Stanley Hwy., Dallas with A Celebration of Life Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Restoring Hope Foursquare Church with Pastor Cameron Bryson, Pastor Jason Collins and John "Israel" Nesbit officiating.

Inurnment will be private and at a later date.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary Blake; 1 son, Junior Greely; 2 sisters, Gail Rice, Barbara Hedgepath; three brothers, David Huffstetler, James Huffstetler, Henry Huffstetler, Larry Huffstetler
