Scottie James Beavers

Gastonia – Scottie James Beavers, 65, passed away on February 22, 2023 at Caromont Regional Medical Center with his family by his side.   

He was born in Lincoln County on March 11, 1957 to Janet Rash Beavers. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Earl and Ara Rash.

Scottie loved to go fishing at the lake, playing the harmonica, and singing. He was a fun-loving man and always had the biggest smile. Scottie was very humble and would give the shirt off of his back to someone in need and was a friend to everyone.

He is survived by his parents, Ray and Janet Beavers; son, Jeremiah Ray; and his sister, Shelly Conner and her husband, Timothy Conner.

The family will receive friends Monday February 27, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Memorial Service to follow at 6:00 p.m. in the Withers and Whisenant Chapel.
