Sharon Loxton Alexander

January 10, 1958 — December 16, 2021

Sharon Denise Loxton Alexander, 63, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 after losing her fight with Covid at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with her loving husband by her side.

Sharon was born on January 10, 1958 in Port Huron, Michigan and is the daughter of the late Vaughan and Gayle Ewart Loxton. She moved to Charlotte in the mid 1990's and married Jack Alexander on October 10, 2003 and was married for 18 years.

Sharon was an active member of the Community Bible Study group and attended Parkwood Baptist Church in Gastonia, North Carolina where she was baptized and declared her love for Christ. She loved to read her bible and often spent time praying for and with others. Sharon was always a hard worker and worked a wide range of jobs, including health care, child care, security guard and even a cook until her health prevented her to work. She loved to travel, working with arts and crafts, and her tablet where she found amusement in playing games.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 18 years, Jack Alexander; two sisters, Linda LaLone, Sandy Harrison and husband Doug; one brother, Rick Loxton and wife Debra; her dear lifelong friend, Kimmy White; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Sharon is now safely in the arms of her Lord. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service is being planned at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home at a later date where we will celebrate her life, fond memories and laugh with friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkwood Baptist Church , c/o Benevolence Fund, 1827 Dixon School Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.
