Sheila Stamey Graham

Sheila Stamey Graham, 72, of Stanley, passed away peacefully at her residence on April 3, 2024 with her loving family by her side.  

 

She was born Gaston County on August 3, 1951 to the late John and Alice Stamey. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Elmer “Hot Shot” Graham; daughter, Teresa Cribb; and her siblings, Ronnie Stamey, Johnny Stamey, and Marica Simpson. 

 

Sheila will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family. Sheila leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved her. 

 

She is survived by her son, Tim Cribb (Pam); her granddaughter, who she raised as a daughter, Ashley Aikins Lineberger (Marty); brothers, Don Stamey and Jerry Stamey; sisters, Kathy Ledford and Pam Samples (Brian); 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. 

 

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Justin Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. 

 

The family will gather with friends at other times at the home of Tim Cribb, 813 N. Main Street, Lowell, NC 28098.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to River of Life Full Gospel Church in Mount Holly, 1120 W. Charlotte Ave. Mount Holly, NC 28120.
